MEMBERSHIP

How can I register with your company?

To become a member with us, you must register first to get your Sky box and Ocean Shipping ID. To do so, you must visit http://consology.co.tt/register and enter the revenant information. Once you correctly enter and submit you're into, you will get a message thanking you and prompting you to check your email. Once you check your email, and you see a message from CONSOLOGY- it should contain your Skybox ID and begin with the letters TVT and have four numbers after it. For, eg. TVT-XXXX.  

 

What is the cost of your service?

Registration and Service are free as there are no membership fees. 

 

Can I Add another person to my Account?

Yes, you can add one person once they have the same delivery address. Details of an additional user should be sent to [email protected] with customer name and a copy of their  ID. Please note that the primary holder of the account is responsible for all charges incurred, and maintaining all personal details.

 

Can I make changes to my account once I have registered?

Yes, you can. You must visit http://consology.co.tt/login and enter your email address and password. Once logged in, you would be able to change your details, as well as pre-alert packages.

 

SHIPPING

 

When I place an order online, how long does it take to get my package?

This would depend on how long your package gets delivered to our warehouse in Miami. Once your package is delivered, it will be shipped within 1-2 working days during off-peak shipping seasons (January to August). If your packages arrive in the Warehouse before two pm during off-peak shipping times, packages will be processed for shipping to get in Trinidad for Customs and Excise clearance by the next business day.  HOWEVER, it is possible that this process can take up to 2 business days before it is ready to be delivered.

Our ocean freight shipments usually leave every Friday and take one to two weeks to arrive in Trinidad. For Local deliveries, these are performed within 1-2 business days after the cargo is cleared.

Note: There may be delays and are expected during peak seasons such as for periods around Sale Holidays, Black Friday sales, and Christmas within the United States and often in off-peak seasons if receiving volumes are unusually high or in the circumstances out of our control during clearance.


How should I decide to ship Air or Ocean?

If your package is over 50 Lbs., then it may be a more economical to ship ocean, although it may take up to 14 days longer. Please contact us in advance if you would need a quote.

 

If I have more than one package coming in, or several packages from different purchases, is it possible to combine into one package to save money?

Yes, it is possible! This is called “Consolidating” which is where we got our name from “Consology” to do this, you must send email to [email protected], with subject “Consolidation Your Name and the date of arrival for the last package in the format Date: Day/Month/Year. For example:

Subject: Consolidation John HLD-0001 Smith 22/11/16

the following information should be included:

Your name and skybox  account number, i.e., HLD-0001

Number of packages to be consolidated

Last Date of the expected package. This is the date that you would like our Florida operations to process the packets and send the next available shipment. We advise that you extend shipping time by two days to compensate for any delays with the US shipper to our warehouse.

 

Is there a change in address When Consolidating?

Yes, would need to create a new address with your online retailer, such as Amazon, eBay, etc. The difference is that you use "HLD" to hold packages. For example, for Air Consolidations would be:

What are the charges for consolidation?

Consolidation begins at $5 US per package for Air & Ocean Freight 

 

What is the limit to the number of packages that can be consolidated?

There is no limit to the amount of packages that can be consolidated. Once packages arrive within in a two-week time from arrival of the first package for consolidation.

 

Is there anything that I cannot ship into Trinidad?

Yes, are three (3) categories of items which Consology refrain from shipping unless the appropriate required licenses, documentation, certificates or permits are submitted before shipping. These Items include:

  • Goods that are restricted for import
  • Goods that require special license and permits
  • (HAZMAT)  Hazardous Materials and Goods

 

Also to note, there are specific items NOT ALLOWED to be shipped into Trinidad and Tobago, these are :

  • Alcohol or any article with alcohol listed as an ingredient
  • Animal Skins
  • Bamboo articles
  • Camouflage clothing or equipment
  • Cash
  • Corrosive cleaning solutions
  • Firearms, ammunition, and weapons
  • Fireworks
  • Flammable liquids or solids
  • Honey
  • Illegal substances
  • Lighters and matches
  • Live plants and perishables (special Permits Required)
  • Poison
  • Pornographic material
  • Pressurized containers
  • Swords
  • Tear gas and pepper spray
  • Wet cell batteries

 

Does insurance have to be paid on all items when shipping with you?

In the rare event that packages may be damaged or lost, clients must ensure that insurance has been paid on the bill, to receive a refund. However, please note that members would not be compensated for lost or damaged packages which are not in Consology’s care or outside the responsibility of Consology.

 

How would I be reimbursed if my Package is damaged?

Members would only be reimbursement for items which were deemed lost or damaged while in custody of Consology, these items would be covered by our Default Insurance based on value, up to the amount of USD 100.00. Members whose items carry additional insurance would be fully reimbursed up to the declared value of the item in question.

Can I return the Item if it is the wrong item/ damaged?

Yes, you can, at a cost to you.  In a case like this, you must first contact your supplier/vendor and inform them you want to return an item(s). They will provide a return label to stick on the package you wish to return. The item should be repackaged properly and returned to our central office. It would then be Shipped to Miami and return it to your supplier/vendor on your behalf, and the cost would be calculated based on the size and weight of the item(s).


CHARGES

What are Freight Charges?  

Freight Charges are fees for shipping your package from the United States into Trinidad. It is charged based on the package actual pound weight for air shipments.

 

How Much Vat and Duties I would have to pay?

These are not applicable to all items and Duties, and the type of goods determines VAT, and the value, based on this information Customs & Excise using their list of relevant charges, which will determine if products are subject to charges or not. These fees will be collected by the Customs for the Finance Ministry under the Laws of Trinidad and Tobago; in essence, these are taxes on imported items charged by the Government. These fees are charged as a percentage of the cost of the goods + the cost of the shipping + the cost of any insurance; which is how CIF value is calculated.

What sort of payments do you accept?

We accept cash (TTD or USD), Creditcards, direct deposits, and Certified Cheques.
